About Anne
Anne originally studied sculpture in Melbourne. After experimenting with varied forms of three-dimensional art, she developed a love of reproducing life forms in clay.
Commencement of both a business and family saw a fifteen year hiatus from such creative pursuits. In more recent years, further study with Midge Johansen, and membership of the Sculptors Society Gold Coast sparked a renewed passion for Anne. She enjoys experimenting with the use of steel, bronze, resin and ciment fondu, although her first and interminable love is still clay.

Music and sculpture form the basis of Anne’s life. Just as music expresses passion and movement, so she hopes, do her art works. This connection, along with the exploration of varied mediums and use of both natural and found objects, allows Anne to create pieces that are unique and have the ability to connect with peoples’ emotions and desire to partake in the unpredictable and ever-evolving journey of life. Our troubled planet is also a source of inspiration for Anne.
She feels that it is the responsibility of artists to relay current trends
relating to our relationship with Mother Earth.
Inspired by her travels throughout Europe and Asia, she now works from her studio in Kyneton, Victoria. Amongst many commissions to date, Anne was asked to produce a commemorative trophy for the prestigious “Southport School” on the Gold Coast, as well as one for “Women At Work” in Queensland. Other commissions include works for the Greater City of Geelong and the West Brighton Club. Anne exhibits on a regular basis and has works in many private homes and corporate offices, both in Queensland and Victoria as well as several in Malaysia, China, Thailand and the USA.
